The World Health Organization says that snake bites cause between 81,000 and 138,000 deaths and many more amputations every year. About 5.4 million people are hit by snakes every year. Snakes with very strong poison aren’t always the most dangerous, though. Most of them just want to be left alone and won’t go out of their way to meet people. Here are 10 of the most poisonous snakes in the world, from the beautiful but dangerous blue Malayan coral to the sometimes hard-to-spot cottonmouth. Snakes are fascinating creatures that can be found all over the world.

While most of them are harmless, there are a few species that are extremely venomous and can cause serious harm or even death. Here are 10 of the most venomous snakes in the world:

  1. Inland Taipan:- Also known as the Fierce Snake, the Inland Taipan is considered the most venomous snake in the world. It is found in the deserts of Australia and its venom is extremely toxic, causing rapid paralysis and organ failure in humans.

2. Eastern Brown Snake:- Found in Australia and Papua New Guinea, the Eastern Brown Snake is responsible for the majority of snakebite deaths in Australia. Its venom is potent and can cause paralysis, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure in humans.

3. Belcher’s Sea Snake:- This venomous sea snake is found in the waters of Southeast Asia and Australia and considers the most venomous snake in the world. Its venom is highly toxic and can cause respiratory failure and death in humans. However, it is not aggressive and only bites when provoked.

4. Black Mamba:- The Black Mamba is known for its speed and aggression and it is the most venomous snake. It can be found in sub-Saharan Africa and its venom can cause paralysis, respiratory failure, and even death in humans.

8. Western Diamondback Rattlesnake:- Found in North and South America, the Western Diamondback Rattlesnake is responsible for many snakebite deaths in the United States. It is one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. Its venom can cause tissue damage, bleeding, and even death in humans.

9. Philippine Cobra:- The Philippine Cobra is found in the Philippines and its venom is highly toxic. It can cause respiratory failure and death in humans, and its venom is known for its ability to affect the nervous system.

    10. Green Mamba:- The Green Mamba is found in East and Southern Africa and is highly venomous. This snake venom can cause respiratory failure and death in humans.
