Dubai, UAE — December 16, 2025 — Emirates Airline has unveiled an innovative range of reusable amenity kits for passengers, designed to offer comfort, sustainability, and a message of wildlife conservation. The new kits are part of the airline’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and raise awareness of the endangered species facing extinction across the globe.
A New Kind of Amenity Kit for Conscious Travellers

Starting this month, passengers flying Premium Economy and Economy classes on long‑haul flights will receive these new amenity kits, which are made from bio‑based, recycled materials such as cactus fiber and repurposed fabrics. In a departure from traditional disposable kits, these reusable versions are designed to be keepsakes — both functional and environmentally conscious. Inside the kits, passengers will find essentials like soft socks, eye masks, dental kits, and even plant‑based wellness products.
What sets these kits apart, however, is their focus on the conservation of endangered species. Artwork featuring critically endangered animals adorns the bags, with designs inspired by four different natural environments: the sea, sky, forest, and desert. Each bag features a story card, giving passengers insight into the plight of endangered species such as the Bornean orangutan, Bengal tiger, green sea turtle, pangolins, and Western gorillas. By highlighting these animals, Emirates aims to educate travelers about the urgent need for wildlife preservation.
Raising Awareness with Wildlife-Inspired Designs

The partnership between Emirates and United for Wildlife, a global coalition dedicated to fighting illegal wildlife trade, is at the heart of this initiative. The new amenity kits were created to emphasize the airline’s commitment to raising awareness about endangered species and the environmental threats they face. The airline has been a longstanding partner of United for Wildlife, helping to prevent trafficking of endangered animals and raising awareness through its in‑flight services.
Featured species in the kits include:
- Bornean orangutans: These critically endangered great apes face habitat loss due to deforestation and illegal logging in Southeast Asia.
- Bengal tigers: With fewer than 2,500 left in the wild, tigers are heavily threatened by poaching and habitat destruction.
- Green sea turtles: These ancient reptiles are at risk due to illegal trade, habitat destruction, and the effects of climate change.
- Pangolins: The most trafficked mammal in the world, pangolins are hunted for their meat and scales.
- Western gorillas: Found in the rainforests of Central Africa, gorillas face threats from hunting and habitat loss due to agriculture and logging.
Sustainability and Conservation Efforts
This new initiative is just one part of Emirates’ broader sustainability strategy. In addition to promoting wildlife conservation, the airline has pledged to reduce its environmental impact by reducing single‑use plastics on flights, increasing the use of recyclable materials, and improving fuel efficiency. The reusable amenity kits are a step toward reducing the airline’s overall waste footprint while providing passengers with practical, eco-friendly items they can use again and again.
A Message of Hope for the Future
Emirates is encouraging passengers to engage with these stories and support conservation efforts, reminding them that every small action counts in the fight to protect the planet’s biodiversity.
“We are proud to introduce these amenity kits that not only enhance the in‑flight experience but also help draw attention to some of the world’s most vulnerable species,” said Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates. “Through these kits, we hope to inspire action and awareness for the cause of wildlife preservation, which is a global priority. We want every passenger to feel like they are part of something bigger when they fly with us.”
Join the Movement
The new kits are being rolled out on Emirates flights worldwide and represent a unique opportunity for travelers to engage with the global conversation on conservation. The airline’s focus on sustainability and its dedication to wildlife preservation continue to position Emirates as a leader in both aviation innovation and environmental responsibility.
